A New Unique "Off-the-beaten Path" of Malaysian Tourist Guidebook

Art Harun presented us a unique travel guide to Malaysia in the form of advise cum congratulatory letter to Datuk Todt (ex-Ferrari boss and Datuk Michelle Yeoh's fiance - he recently got Datuk right? errr....I mean the honorary title....) for being appointed the Malaysian Tourism Ambassador. It's a good piece, a fine one indeed.

Now They Said It.... THEY'RE THE BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To all Malaysians who think you are the boss because you are the rakyat/citizen who pays tax and contribute to the country; because you vote and exercise your democratic rights, YOU ARE WRONG.

James Masing from Sarawak BN said these....

“By now, they should know they don’t have the majority and the sooner they learn the lesson, the better it is for them.”

“We are sending a strong message to them. ‘We are the boss’. They must know that they are just small fish, trying to score political points.

Read the whole news article here.

Of course he was referring to the opposition assemblymen but in the same context, are't those assemblymen elected by rakyat? But the smack of arrogance was not only referring to the opposition assemblymen and you can definitely imagine what kind of thinking he has over things like 'service the community", "meeting the needs of the citizens" etc etc which politicians always like to put it out conveniently from their mouth.

Another prayer needed for Malaysia....

Fume?

Is it only me? OK, I knew about the arrest of the lawyers who wanted to meet their clients, who were arrested because they held a vigil outside Bricksfield Police Station in support of Wong Chin Huat but only now I get to watch the video taken of the whole ordeal.

The OCPD is REALLY the one who made me fume!!! And I wonder how can anyone respect the police force after seeing his face, listening to his "warnings" and looking at his actions????????

Gotta pray for Malaysia...

For Good - Wicked (The Musical)

(Elphaba):

I'm limited Just look at me -

I'm limited And just look at you

You can do all I couldn't do, Glinda

So now it's up to you

For both of us - now it's up to you...

(Glinda):

I've heard it said

That people come into our lives for a reason

Bringing something we must learn

And we are led

To those who help us most to grow

If we let them

And we help them in return

Well, I don't know if I believe that's true

But I know I'm who I am today

Because I knew you...

Like a comet pulled from orbit

As it passes a sun

Like a stream that meets a boulder

Halfway through the wood

Who can say if I've been changed for the better?

But because I knew you I have been changed for good

(Elphaba):

It well may be

That we will never meet again

In this lifetime So let me say before we part

So much of me Is made of what I learned from you

You'll be with me

Like a handprint on my heart

And now whatever way our stories end

I know you have re-written mine

By being my friend...

Like a ship blown from its mooring

By a wind off the sea

Like a seed dropped by a skybird

In a distant wood

Who can say if I've been changed for the better?

But because I knew you

(Glinda): Because I knew you

(Both): I have been changed for good

(Elphaba): And just to clear the air I ask forgiveness

For the things I've done you blame me for

(Glinda): But then, I guess we know

There's blame to share

(Both): And none of it seems to matter anymore

(Glinda): Like a comet pulled from orbit As it passes a sun

Like a stream that meets a boulder Halfway through the wood

(Elphaba): Like a ship blown from its mooring By a wind off the sea

Like a seed dropped by a bird in the wood

(Both): Who can say if I've been Changed for the better?

I do believe I have been Changed for the better

(Glinda): And because I knew you...

(Elphaba): Because I knew you...

(Both): Because I knew you... I have been changed for good...

I do hope I changed for good.

Now You Must Learn How to Capture People's Attention and Your Master's As Well.......

NST has a headline : OBAMA SALUTES NAJIB

And when you read it......KUALA LUMPUR: United States President Barack Obama has congratulated Datuk Seri Najib Razak on his appointment as prime minister and said he looked forward to working closely with Najib in the years ahead.

Can someone enlighten me on the meanings of the two "bold"ed words above? Are they the same?

Sigh~~~ NST....

A Date...... with Angels and Demons

An interesting ride of thriller. Tom Hanks hair looked better than he did in Da Vinci's Code. The Israeli's female lead is less candy-like. And Ewan McGregor stole the limelight from Hanks.

An entertaining date, having all said.

Limbo

Everything's in limbo. It's time to rethink. RPK and Malik Imtaz's writing prompted some thinking. Of course we are happy when things run the way we want but when it didn't, we starting to blame others? It's time to re-examine what went wrong.
It's time to be rational and think deeply. Getting oneself out from the box and see it objectively. Gonna do that.

Drawing Comparison

It's already quite puzzling when you find people start comparing themselves with Obama, which one of the candidate during the previous 3B by-elections did but nothing beats the audacity of BN-Perak MB Zambry Kadir who invoked "more classic" names in his blog to describe his political challenges.
Prepare yourselves to.... like what Patrick Teoh said in his blog.... PUKE!!!
He invoked the names of the following : Mandela, Gandhi and Martin Luther King.
I need few big water pails to contain mine. Enough said.

Round 2 Start

Update 2

OK... No emergency sitting now but Zambry was granted stay by Court of Appeal which at the end back to square one as well. So, at the end it will just a way to legitimise the removal of Siva as speaker, only a part of the grand plan? And Nizar and Regent just talked about weather and etc??? Gosh... How can???? Nizar might not want to provoke the Regent but this is definitely something wrong.
Update
Nizar is believed to be on the way to Ipoh to seek an audience with Sultan to ask to dissolve the assembly but Sultan is believed to be out of the country.... Hmm.... I don't feel good about this.

So, what's next? In a way, I think Zambry can call for emergency sitting with his newly-installed Speaker and get a no-confidence vote againts Nizar since they have the numerical strength.

Sigh~~~~ Back to square one???

Original:
Nizar is ruled to be the legitimate MB by the KL High Court. Of course... Zambry is expected to appeal.

Malaysiawood or Bolehwood

Alan the Great's comment in my previous posts reminded me how the recent fiasco in our beloved nation looks so similar to some movie genre.
1. Action : Sivakumar being dragged out from the assembly hall.
2. Comedy : Refer to post before this on the Hee woman and look at her picture. That looks pretty much comedy to me.
3. Porn : Chua Soi Lek
4. Supernatural Thriller : Employing witches to "clean" state assembly hall and also the finding of a jampi on under Pak Lah's seat
5. And the latest on the crime investigation : Ong Tee Keat lost his briefcase in the car and 11 were arrested. I started to think it's the PR stunt done by PDRM to showcase their ability and efficiency amidst the widely-reported cases of murderous snatch thieves etc.

It's Friday and This Is Funny (UPDATED)

New updates :
Gosh... this Hee woman is really something. After saying that the "appeared to be spray canister" she was photographed holding was indeed a hotel key in a press conference, now she CHANGED her story again!!! She now said that canister was not hers but it was belonged to another ADUN.
You gotta admire her guts to lie so blatantly in the public. She now said she picked it up from the floor and asked the assemblyman Yew whether it was Yew's. Now she said a book was thrown at her. I wouldn't throw anything to her. Throwing a book at her is an insult to the book itself. Shame on her.
Original :
We shouldn't laugh at Malaysians whom might not get the chance to have a proper education or teaching on Bahasa Melayu (or Malaysia now?) or English because my parents are one of them. But to think that these people gonna carry the big responsibility to sit in the state assembly and run the state is really a scary thought. I stumbled upon a comment left by a reader of the Malaysian Insider post (here) and it was indeed a great way to laugh away the coming weekend. First, read the whole article at the link above. Then read the comment below :

...
written by Chris Chong, May 08, 2009
"There were 31 of us, even without me there were, so we have the majority, this is democracy," said the Jelapang lawmaker, speaking in halting and bad Bahasa Malaysia when meeting reporters here today.

I'd imaine she probably said something like this :

"Kita ada sama tigapulo satu olang. Saya tada pun kita ada kasi itu majority la. Itu olang katakan demonkrasi la. Ya?"

Chris, tat's a great one!!!!!!!!!

Fashion Police???

I love the term fashion police coined by Malaysian Insider in their website : despite the high crime rate and one of their own tied up and robbed in Johor recently, the Royal Malaysian Police decided to ratchet up crime prevention by turning fashion police yesterday....
