.....about May 13. Not to fill up my anger on the latest political scenario in Malaysia.
I only know about May 13 from the history textbook and being a std practice in Malaysia, I believe there're more to it as textbook tend to dilute things, of course, selectively as well.
I vowed to know more about the incident and refrained from being "threatened" by certain parties on the re-occurence of this whole episode.
my chinese instructor mentioned b4 tat when she was lil, during the "attacks", all of her sibblings, carrying own identification docs, had to hide seperately in the forest to avoid being killed. i suppose it was pretty bad but all covered up cos dun want to bring it up again.
ReplyDeleteMy father was a policeman in setapak during 513! He admitted that he isn’t a clean policeman but when he saw The Malay Regiment firing into shop lot and letting malays doing their stuff without curfew. He become enraged and takes the law into his own hand.
ReplyDeleteMost people forget that most of the Chinese deaths were caused by the army; the soldiers were seen shooting at the Chinese population. My father returned fire at the soldiers but his fire power were no match for the army.
It only stopped when they the Malay Regiment was pulled out and the Sarawak Rangers called in to stop the killing. The Chinese deaths far out numbered the Malays.
When the Malay Regiment was pulling out, my father manages to catch one of them and locked them up in an underground bunker build for World War 2. He doesn’t know what to with them because he knows they are the one who locked up the cinema and killed all the Chinese movie goers.
He hung that fellow upside down and hands are tied behind his back. Then he used a thin iron rod is inserted through the umbilicus, tearing the skin and the muscles, or up the anus damaging the muscles, or up the arms damaging the mucus membrane and other parts of the rectum. Then the iron rod was smeared with red chilli powder or green chilli paste is thrust into the anus again.
The soldier cried for mercy but my dads say where your mercy is when you killed all the Chinese. The soldier say he was following order from above. My father release the soldier a week later and he ran to hid in Sabah!
Kam sai lei!
