The EC (Election Commission) Chief said : "I hope that there will be no more deaths of elected representatives." (what???)
and more...."We never question deaths, we never go to their houses (the deceased politicians) to check or ask their families whether they are really dead," he added. (is that EC's job as well???)
wait for more...... He also revealed that the EC spends about RM400,000 for every by-election. And to make matters worse, he revealed that Manek Urai does not even have a KFC outlet. (so....EC staff can only work in places with the existence of KFC??? and also it will be interesting to know how they spend the RM400,000.00 as well!!!!!!)
Seriously, I think Abdul Aziz is trying to catch up with the "reputation" of his predecessor, famed for his "urgently-amended-constitution" stint extension as EC Chief and not to forget the fiasco about the indelible ink. With his performance so far I bet he will come up with more interesting news in the near future.
This whole thing should not be surprising though it couldn't be helped that it did boil my blood a bit. Just like the attitude of the little Napoleons in the civil service and the PRDM who's recently on the tangkap rampage, they act as if we were still in the feudal times and they're the master (well....a very much sizable of the population thinks so.... I mean the slave as well). These little Napoleons get satisfaction by delaying your urgent need, or maybe just enjoying looking at your desperate face short of begging them but they don't realize that they're being cursed silently and if there's any karma being observed, payback time is surely guaranteed.
I seriously think the country is in constitutional crisis now. We have PRDM who's having Ops Tangkap dan Lepas without giving the hoot about the basic rights of getting legal representations, not to say to arrest the lawyers themselves. We have the judiciary in confidence crisis due to the famous tape of Correct, Correct, Correct and no actions were taken to prosecute or even investigate the case and the judiciary now is getting itself involved in legislative matter of constitutional importance.
I wish it's just the 1st phase of the bungee jump where the subject is heading to a free-fall but with all the baggages of the parties involved in the whole destruction of the nation now, I think we can just pray and do whatever we can in our capacity.

Can We Stop The Lift?
I like to rewatch the good movies or series that I love. Having Six Feet Under, Brothers and Sisters, Friends and Will & Grace in re-run I am moving to Grey's Anatomy now.
One of the episodes in 2nd Season featured a train-wreck and there were two people stuck together with a pole "stabbed" them facing each other. The surgeons had to choose to sacrifice one of them in order to save the other. After the touching and sad yet heartbreaking decision ordeal, they managed to save one of them.
After telling the family of the dead patient, there was a scene with Dr. Derek Shepherd and Dr. Miranda Bailey together in the lift. Both of them were sad and Shepherd was too devastated and at the verge of breakdown. Bailey pressed the button to stop the lift. She allowed Shepherd to weep and asked him when she want to undo the stop button.
It's a simple yet effective scene which I think Bailey is great, a marvellous performance from Chandra Wilson (Give her a damn Emmy Awards, man!!!!! She's been nominated for three consecutive years!!!! 2006-08!!!!)
And well.... isn't it good to have the stop button pressed once in a while??? And we do need that sometimes.

Now They Said It.... THEY'RE THE BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To all Malaysians who think you are the boss because you are the rakyat/citizen who pays tax and contribute to the country; because you vote and exercise your democratic rights, YOU ARE WRONG.

Is it only me? OK, I knew about the arrest of the lawyers who wanted to meet their clients, who were arrested because they held a vigil outside Bricksfield Police Station in support of Wong Chin Huat but only now I get to watch the video taken of the whole ordeal.
The OCPD is REALLY the one who made me fume!!! And I wonder how can anyone respect the police force after seeing his face, listening to his "warnings" and looking at his actions????????

Limbo
Everything's in limbo. It's time to rethink. RPK and Malik Imtaz's writing prompted some thinking. Of course we are happy when things run the way we want but when it didn't, we starting to blame others? It's time to re-examine what went wrong.
It's time to be rational and think deeply. Getting oneself out from the box and see it objectively. Gonna do that.

It's already quite puzzling when you find people start comparing themselves with Obama, which one of the candidate during the previous 3B by-elections did but nothing beats the audacity of BN-Perak MB Zambry Kadir who invoked "more classic" names in his blog to describe his political challenges.
Prepare yourselves to.... like what Patrick Teoh said in his blog.... PUKE!!!
He invoked the names of the following : Mandela, Gandhi and Martin Luther King.
I need few big water pails to contain mine. Enough said.

Update 2 OK... No emergency sitting now but Zambry was granted stay by Court of Appeal which at the end back to square one as well. So, at the end it will just a way to legitimise the removal of Siva as speaker, only a part of the grand plan? And Nizar and Regent just talked about weather and etc??? Gosh... How can???? Nizar might not want to provoke the Regent but this is definitely something wrong.

Nizar is believed to be on the way to Ipoh to seek an audience with Sultan to ask to dissolve the assembly but Sultan is believed to be out of the country.... Hmm.... I don't feel good about this.
So, what's next? In a way, I think Zambry can call for emergency sitting with his newly-installed Speaker and get a no-confidence vote againts Nizar since they have the numerical strength.
Sigh~~~~ Back to square one???

Alan the Great's comment in my previous posts reminded me how the recent fiasco in our beloved nation looks so similar to some movie genre.
1. Action : Sivakumar being dragged out from the assembly hall.
2. Comedy : Refer to post before this on the Hee woman and look at her picture. That looks pretty much comedy to me.
3. Porn : Chua Soi Lek
4. Supernatural Thriller : Employing witches to "clean" state assembly hall and also the finding of a jampi on under Pak Lah's seat
5. And the latest on the crime investigation : Ong Tee Keat lost his briefcase in the car and 11 were arrested. I started to think it's the PR stunt done by PDRM to showcase their ability and efficiency amidst the widely-reported cases of murderous snatch thieves etc.

Gosh... this Hee woman is really something. After saying that the "appeared to be spray canister" she was photographed holding was indeed a hotel key in a press conference, now she CHANGED her story again!!! She now said that canister was not hers but it was belonged to another ADUN.
You gotta admire her guts to lie so blatantly in the public. She now said she picked it up from the floor and asked the assemblyman Yew whether it was Yew's. Now she said a book was thrown at her. I wouldn't throw anything to her. Throwing a book at her is an insult to the book itself. Shame on her.

Paris 6 : Where You Have Your Insides Out?
For the art lovers... Centre Pompidou is the must-go place. The place is unique and outrageously artistic. Famous for its daring design where the interiors/utilities components openly displayed on the outside of the building, it created quite a buzz when it was commissioned. It remained as its special attractions till now.

As typical as most tourist spots, you can't miss the souvenir shops nearby.

Being a movie junkie, I won't let go of chances to browse DVD store and guess what I found???? A copy of DVD of Edward Yang's (杨德昌) last movie YiYi (一一). Love this movie!!! It's not a surprise to find his movie in France as most of his later movies are funded either by Japanese or French e.g. Mahjong (麻将).
Paris 5 : Eiffel in the Day
I was blessed the day I went to Eiffel as the sky was full of cloud; the way I like it!!!!
I remember Pierre mentioned a lot of Parisians think the Eiffel was just a structure of steel which in the early days, have no absolute function at all! Of course now it's a communication tower and also exhibition site. There was a painting exhibition when I was there, held in the 1st level I think. How cool is that???
Long associated with romance and love as the city itself, Eiffel do have its magic, at least to me.
The area surrounding Eiffel is a picnic area with nice grass. Many Parisians just lay down to enjoy the sun or have some picnics with their kids and friends. Always love the gardens and it reminded me of the Hyde Park sans the magnifique Eiffel.
Marie and I got a cup of coffee and sat on the grass watching the day goes by. We chatted a lot on movies and musics. We even exchanged some nice songs. Thanks Marie for sharing the India.Arie's song with me. It's truly Beautiful!!!
Childhood is the best time ever!!!!!!!!
Marie and me parted ways as she had to go back to Pierre's place to get her luggage and go to the train station. I left Eiffel to continue my exploration of the City of Light.
