Go to this site and watch some interesting and insightful interviews with some of the interesting personalities, well...not all of them are politicians which is TOTALLY refreshing. However, still quite a few of the politicians were deluded to the fact that the mere instance they opened their mouth, it will get the audience/listeners laugh out loud or being insulted of their intelligence.

KK City Tourism Treasure Hunt (Part 2)
"very very bad stomachache since last night. Wanna go hospital. You pls continue without me."
What????? 4 brains left 3. How??? Anyway, I know it's really serious because a hunt freak like him won't make this kind of things up. So, half-heartedly I sent him a msg asking him to take care.
When we reached Nexus Karambunai, everybody asking where's Leslie? Whatever!!! We gotta call him afterwards. Hope he's in a condition good enough to join us later.
Arrrggghhhhhh..... so near yet so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No air ticket for 3rd place!!!!!!!!!!
The ticket to Macau and Jogja literally flied away!!!!!!!!!!!!!
speaking of the tickets prize, I seriously think that it should be via KK instead of KL. this sentiment was shared by some other participants. or maybe DBKK thinks that the ticket will not be won by local participants??????
(the previous tickets before the changes were via KK to Seoul, Guangzhou and Manila respectively)
Here's Tilda for Li Siew Yung
Having said that she's quite funny.
1. The other day, I was going through the airport security and I was searched by a male security guard. I'm very often referred to as "Sir" in elevators and such. I think it has to do with being this tall and not wearing much lipstick. I think people just can't imagine I'd be a woman if I look like this. she's funny.
2. There is something insane about a lack of doubt. Doubt, to me anyway, is what makes you human, and without doubt even the righteous lose their grip not only on reality but also on their humanity. she's brilliant.
3. True, there is all sorts of religious extremism all over the place, but the reason for this partly has to do with the fascist attitudes and language of absolutism coming from Washington. It's challenging for people outside of America that Bush was re-elected. It means we're all going to have to work a lot harder to understand what so many more Americans than we thought really want. It's an identity shift in our minds about America and maybe for many Americans as well she's an icon for anti-Bush
4. George Clooney, you know, the seriousness and the dedication to your art, seeing you climb into that rubber batsuit from `Batman & Robin' — the one with the nipples, every morning under your costume, on the set, off the set, hanging upside-down at lunch — you rock man again, she's funny
Well, I dun have any comment on her clothes on the Oscar night but couldn't imagine if she's suddenly polished and elegantly-produced. It's just like Bjork will not be the Bjork we know if she disssed the famous swan-dress right???
Way to go Tilda !!!!

那些日子 - Those Days
A big plus point of watching singing reality show is that sometimes you get to hear some hidden-unfound songs previously tucked in the "other" CDs or sneaked in between the song list being ignored in light of the other "karaoke" worthy tunes. And the participant above is one of those who's good in song selection, good not only good song selected but he can carry them!!!
To listen to the original rendition by 陶晶莹, click here . If you have time, search for her another tune in the same album, 鸟语花香 called 年纪大了一点. A very jazzy tune and she nailed it. Enjoy!!!
KK City Tourism Treasure Hunt
Yup, the hunt is on! After so much anticipations!!!
Getting the cafeine kick as early as 7am on a Sunday morning!!!!
Me and Teo
Me and Frederick. Where's Leslie? He had a stomachache and only joined us later part of the hunt. We were so worried having one brain less, and that's an important brain to lose actually.
Getting inside the car ready for the flag-off.
DBKK 2nd Man flagging off. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
more to come.... pics above courtesy of my team mate, Teo.
just some sneak preview......
80th Academy Awards
My picks:
No Country for Old Men (correct)
Julian Schnable (the Coen brothers got it for No Country for Old Men)
Daniel Day-Lewis (yes - The Best Actor)
Julie Christie (oh....it's Marion Cotillard for La Vie En Rose)
Javier Bardem (yes - The Best Supporting Actor)
Cate Blanchett (Tilda edged the faves)
Juno (Original) (yes - who dun like 2nd chance stories? waitress and exotic dancer? complete)
Atonement (Adapted) (Coen for No Country for Old Men)
Some of my favourite quotes : UPDATED
4. "Democrats have an historic race going. Hillary Clinton vs. Barack Obama. Normally when you see a black man or woman president, an asteroid is about to hit the Statue of Liberty." - Jon Stewart, host
5. "There is a great variety in the nominated films this year. Even 'Norbit,' got a nomination, which I think is great. Too often the Academy ignores movies that aren't good." - Jon Stewart, host
6. "Tonight we look beyond the dark days and focus on happier fare. This year's slate of Oscar-nominated psychopathic killer movies. Does this town need a hug? What happened? 'No Country For Old Men,' 'Sweeney Todd,' 'There Will Be Blood.' All I can say is thank God for teen pregnancy." - Jon Stewart, host
1. "George Clooney, you know, the seriousness and the dedication to your art, seeing you climb into that rubber batsuit from `Batman & Robin' — the one with the nipples, every morning under your costume, on the set, off the set, hanging upside-down at lunch — you rock man." — Tilda Swinton, thanking "Michael Clayton" co-star George Clooney after winning best supporting actress trophy.
2. "The fight is over. So tonight, welcome to the makeup sex." — Jon Stewart, on the post-strike Oscars.
3. Something on feel-good movie which Hilary Clinton loves - "Julie Christie was absolutely amazing in 'Away From Her.' Brilliant movie. It was a moving story of a woman who forgets her own husband. Hillary Clinton called it the 'feel good movie of the year.' " - Jon Stewart, host

You Do The Math
Recent brohuhaa about the election in Sabah especially the LDP.
Before Election :
VK Liew : A lawyer who took over as LDP President from Tan Sri Chong Kah Keat. Non-MP, non-assemblyman
YB Liew Yun Fah : Merotai state assemblyman and state Youth and Sports Minister.
Fong Vun Fui : LDP Central Youth Deputy Chief, based in Sandakan, always visible in local papers in municipal issues such as drainage, road and passport and IC application issues
What's at Stake? PARLIAMENT (SANDAKAN) & STATE (MEROTAI)
After Nomination :
VK Liew : Running as LDP sole allocated Parliament seat (Sandakan)
YB Liew Yun Fah : Dropped from the list, both Parliament and state
Fong Yun Fui : Stands as independent candidate
My Take?
LDP has ONLY ONE Full Minister allocation in Sabah BN government. Being the minister will strengthen one's grip on power as the state level support is vital for parties with the capacity like LDP. To add more salt, the consolation as parties with the capacity of LDP has limited influence in Parliament.
Hints?
Look at Koh Tsu Koon in Penang. He moved to Federal for the minister post but have to make sure his state (Penang) in good hands, i.e. his man.

Uncle Bernard is BRILLIANT !!!!!!!!!!!!
Look at Uncle Bernard's latest post on the two ex-MBs who were not nominated and the reason why.... here
Play Cooking in CNY
This one is dinner...dun worry, not the same day. It's actually alfredo hahaha....
Hmmm...... notice the bacon there? YUMMY!!!!
The aftermath..... What's this? So tired until I fell down to the floor and tat's the curtain for my main door. The Circus is in the Town
Well.... the flip-flop PM decided that he has to have some stupid idiot MP on his side; maybe he will need them to spice up the things in the August House and grab the media attention when he himself made some silly statement or remarks or some scandalous revealations came up and diverting the attention.
Hence the "bocor" MP is retained in his constituency. The circus is not complete without its main clown. Oh, what the heck, even describing him as a clown is an insult to the decent people who make a living acting as a clown in circus.
Ohm-No? NO - TAK NAK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chap Goh Meh
Close-One-Eye is OUT!!!! OK, hope more to come
Close-One-Eye MP had been dropped and it's a relieve that Ohm-NO still has some clear mind making this decision. With that, I officially announce the inductee of my Hall of Shame MP to be thrown deep inside the fridge and never to make any come-back of any sort unlike the ex-MBs who said he can't read English when bringing in illegal amount of cash in to Australia and another one who has a court battle of sexual tyrants.
Now, I'm anxious about Sabah's line-up cox my fave Hall of Shame MP's seat is in the hang. Hope he will be dropped as well, like his gd fren Close-One-Eye here.
Good News from Uncle Bernard

Consititution (Perlembagaan) - How Many Times It Was Amended
During some "blow-water" (in Cantonese) session with some of my friends, someone mentioned about the number of times the vital document of our nation had been amended by those "so-called" public-elected "servants" in the Parliament but no one have any exact figures.
Saw this statement in Haris's People's Parliament blog and was surprised, shell-shocked indeed.
* The Malaysian Constitution has been amended some 690 times (50 years of nationhood). The USA has been in existence for more than 200 years and their constitution was only amended 27 times.
for example, just few months ago, the Constitution is amended for matters as trivial as extending the term of office of the Elections Commission officers.
Just wonder if someone had a list of all the amendments done all these years????
That's why it's important the the August house is NOT being dominated with a group of MPs without any right/guts to speak their mind but to blindly follow the "collective consensus" dictated by the biggest stakeholder Ohm-no.
SO, PLEASE VOTE WISELY

The Happy Star Had Fallen
For someone who grew up with the staple diet of HK TVB drama series and also TV programs, it's impossible to not knowing this happy-go-lucky celebrity known for her consistent hairstyle wig and her signature spectacle frame. Lydia Shum 沈殿霞.
She's the face of the TVB's signature program EYT (Entertain Yourself Tonight) which was the cradle of so many great talents that emerged from the idiot box and some ventured out to the bigger screen and became a household name. She's known for her infectious laugh which never fail to deliver warmth and happiness to the audiences. In every big shows that TVB hosted, either their annual celebration, or the fund-raising programs such as "Dong Wa" etc, she was always in the fixed line-up of the emcees to host the shows together with other divas such as Dodo Cheng and Lisa Wang.
Also not forgetting her movies. A major series that I remember was the "Fu Guai" series. In the movie, I think it started with her family won the million-dollar lottery and all died in an accident and the funny stories happened from there.
In the later days, she was filming a series in Spore in English as well.

It's On The Wall
A few seem to imply they are indispensable and that they will only be able to retain the seats for the Barisan Nasional, using anti-establishment sentiments as their argument.
Shockingly and hypocritically, they talk about bringing in “new blood” and of their “unfinished work”. Of course, it is always for the country and the people. Haven’t we heard that before?

Simplify Your Life
Stumbled upon this little piece of article in the fitness centre where I work out; 18 Ways to Simplify Your Life
1. Think and Write Down What Really Matters to You (Hm....anyone of you do this?)
2. Have Short and Long Term Goals (OK...tis starts to sounds like self-help stuff)
3. Use Online Banking (Yes. I'm that simple)
4. Make Time for Yourself (What if I have too much time for myself?)
5. Carry No More Than 2 Credit Cards (now this is very much financially-related.)
6. Identify Your Bad Habits (I've come with terms with this; live with it...nope.... it's them)
7. Stop Being A Perfectionist (Never a perfectionist...self-proclaimed)
8. Don't D Other People's Work. Give Up The "Hero" Mentality (Never ever a hero)
9. Hire Someone for Chores You're Not Fond Of (this is so unrealistic cox I dun have that much money to do so)
10.Cut Back On Television Time (This contradicts with #4 above)
11.Clean Out Your Office and Home (OK....I got it, it's a mess right?)
12.Stop Spending Time With Whiners (hmm...sometimes it made me feel better knowing others having worse life than me. Am I bad?)
13.Plan Time for Annual Vacations (What if I'm planning but no money and person to ggo vacation with?)
14.Carry A Smaller Wallet/Purse (If I hav high credit limit of my plastic)
15.Live Close To Your Work Place (I win this hands down)
16.Learn To Say No (learning now.....)
17.Cut Back On Children's Planned Activities (dun understand this....)
18.Track Your Expenses (gosh....this made me realise how poor I am)

We Have Been Friends Together
In sunshine and in shade,
Since first beneath the chestnut trees,
In infancy we played.
But coldness dwells within thy heart,
A cloud is on thy brow;
We have been friends together,
Shall a light word part us now?
We have laughed at little jests;
For the fount of hope was gushing
Warm and joyous in our breasts,
But laughter now hath fled thy lip,
And sullen glooms thy brow;
We have been gay together,
Shall a light word part us now?
We have wept with bitter tears
O'er the grass-grown graves where slumbered
The hopes of early years.
The voices which are silent there
Would bid thee clear thy brow;
We have been sad together.
Oh, what shall part us now?
