Saya Mau Main....

I was chatting with my best friend that day about Malaysian politics and some funny stories about politicians and sportsmen and I read this in Patrick's blog.

Web Therapy (2011)

You can always depend on Showtime to come up with some provocative and interesting shows and Lisa Kudrow to provide some laugh. I like her since her Friends days as I can't really get Rachel and Monica. Kudrow teamed up with Don Roos, the director who worked with her in both The Opposite of Sex and Happy Ending in this interesting new show, Web Therapy. And Kudrow is one of the writers too!

Now I have other option besides The Big Bang Theory to provide some laugh.

3M, General Assembly and whatnot

In airport for a few hours transit to go back to the little dot. The rubbish uttered by the 3M combo plus the "it has nothing to do with me" SJ gung-ho self defense sync-in harmoniuosly with the delegate's childish display of stupidity. All I can say is that, no-hope already.

Sigh~~~

Holiday Post

1. Holidays are over-rated, especially if you need to work on them.
2. History distortion will be accepted as historical fact when it's being repeated enough and shoved down your throat since young. What's the meaning of celebrating a National Day when the day itself served no meaning as it's being shoved down our throat and left with no choice but accept it?
3. Nation building is a long process and rebuilding takes at least 2-3 generations. This saddens me.
4. Overstretching yourself can only be done to a certain limit and once the limit is reached, be careful as it will produce some detrimental irreversible effect, physically and mentally. I will keep reminding myself that.
5. To my friends and family, enjoy the holidays!!!!
6. September.... my holiday is coming soon!!!!!

When It's Time to Let Go.....

This is definitely not the case of "habis manis, sepah dibuang".

When it's time to go, it's time to go.

Rais' another thesis in making?????

I seriously suggest he surveyed how much "you help me, i help you" goodies were distributed during GE and by-elections all this year but again, a masquerading academic (who tainted his PhD - an insult to all PhD holders) like him won't think right or speak right. With caricatures like him and his even more embarrassing predecessor Zainuddin, I would like to say Mohammad Rahmat was a saner UMNO minister.

HELP! - Oliver Burkeman

The smaller caption of the title says :

How to Become Slightly Happier and Get a Bit More Done

Before I decide to borrow the book from library, I flipped through introduction to help me to make the decision. It managed to get me by these :

Besides, as a rational, non-guillible sort of person, I was allergic to the cheesy premises of self help gurus.

But I should be honest : if I was half-joking, I was also half-serious. Deep down, however much we cover it up with cynicsm and wisecracks, isn't everybody at least half-serious about wanting to be happy?

That brings me to the name of my blog. :)

Taipei Exchanges (2010)

Taipei Exchanges (2010)

Director : Ya-Chuan Hsiao

Cast : Lun-Mei Kwai

Purely because of Lun-Mei Kwai, this sophomore effort of Hsiao after 9 years is is a feel-good work. Under the mentoring of Hou-Hsiao Hsien, I hope she will have more funding to make more movies. Looking forward to that. Though coffee house or cafe might sound a bit tad "out" now, I am still intrigued to visit it during my Taipei trip. Gonna be busy in Taipei this time!

Face (2009)

Face (2009)

Director : Tsai Ming Liang

Filmed in moi Paris, with special permission to shoot inside the Lourve I would say Tsai went overboard this time. He kinda used the same tactic in his previous work, The Wayward Cloud (2005). It's funny to watch Fanny Ardant being dubbed with the old Chinese "shi-dai-qu" but that alone won't sustain my attention.
