Play Cooking in CNY

Didn't manage to take photo during the reunion dinner. Above was the 7th day "Human Day" where I had a steam-boat instead of the typical "lou-sang".
My so-called spaghetti cooked for lunch on one particular day.

This one is dinner...dun worry, not the same day. It's actually alfredo hahaha....

Hmmm...... notice the bacon there? YUMMY!!!!

The aftermath.....

What's this? So tired until I fell down to the floor and tat's the curtain for my main door.

The Circus is in the Town

Well.... the flip-flop PM decided that he has to have some stupid idiot MP on his side; maybe he will need them to spice up the things in the August House and grab the media attention when he himself made some silly statement or remarks or some scandalous revealations came up and diverting the attention.

Hence the "bocor" MP is retained in his constituency. The circus is not complete without its main clown. Oh, what the heck, even describing him as a clown is an insult to the decent people who make a living acting as a clown in circus.

Ohm-No? NO - TAK NAK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chap Goh Meh

The CNY celebration is over. However, my prayer goes to other things that continue.
It is not a long period of time but I would like to be more years, months, days, hours, mins and seconds to come.

Close-One-Eye is OUT!!!! OK, hope more to come

Close-One-Eye MP had been dropped and it's a relieve that Ohm-NO still has some clear mind making this decision. With that, I officially announce the inductee of my Hall of Shame MP to be thrown deep inside the fridge and never to make any come-back of any sort unlike the ex-MBs who said he can't read English when bringing in illegal amount of cash in to Australia and another one who has a court battle of sexual tyrants.

Now, I'm anxious about Sabah's line-up cox my fave Hall of Shame MP's seat is in the hang. Hope he will be dropped as well, like his gd fren Close-One-Eye here.

Good News from Uncle Bernard

Looks like most of my inductees for the Hall of Shame for Politicians were rightfully and deservingly honored with the end of their political career.

Consititution (Perlembagaan) - How Many Times It Was Amended

During some "blow-water" (in Cantonese) session with some of my friends, someone mentioned about the number of times the vital document of our nation had been amended by those "so-called" public-elected "servants" in the Parliament but no one have any exact figures.

Saw this statement in Haris's People's Parliament blog and was surprised, shell-shocked indeed.

* The Malaysian Constitution has been amended some 690 times (50 years of nationhood). The USA has been in existence for more than 200 years and their constitution was only amended 27 times.

for example, just few months ago, the Constitution is amended for matters as trivial as extending the term of office of the Elections Commission officers.

Just wonder if someone had a list of all the amendments done all these years????

That's why it's important the the August house is NOT being dominated with a group of MPs without any right/guts to speak their mind but to blindly follow the "collective consensus" dictated by the biggest stakeholder Ohm-no.

SO, PLEASE VOTE WISELY

The Happy Star Had Fallen

For someone who grew up with the staple diet of HK TVB drama series and also TV programs, it's impossible to not knowing this happy-go-lucky celebrity known for her consistent hairstyle wig and her signature spectacle frame. Lydia Shum 沈殿霞.

She's the face of the TVB's signature program EYT (Entertain Yourself Tonight) which was the cradle of so many great talents that emerged from the idiot box and some ventured out to the bigger screen and became a household name. She's known for her infectious laugh which never fail to deliver warmth and happiness to the audiences. In every big shows that TVB hosted, either their annual celebration, or the fund-raising programs such as "Dong Wa" etc, she was always in the fixed line-up of the emcees to host the shows together with other divas such as Dodo Cheng and Lisa Wang.

Also not forgetting her movies. A major series that I remember was the "Fu Guai" series. In the movie, I think it started with her family won the million-dollar lottery and all died in an accident and the funny stories happened from there.

In the later days, she was filming a series in Spore in English as well.

Takziah to family of Lydia Shum 沈殿霞 's family. May she rest in peace.

It's On The Wall

You know it's on the wall when even the BN-owned MSM (mainstream media) editor wrote this in his column.

Datuk Wong Chun Wai said this in his weekly column in The Star, Keep Politics Fresh and Young on Feb 17, 2007.

Some have been reluctant to announce their readiness to make way for younger candidates, hoping against hope that they would still be given another shot. (hmm....so, how to term old?)

A few seem to imply they are indispensable and that they will only be able to retain the seats for the Barisan Nasional, using anti-establishment sentiments as their argument.

Worse, he cannot interfere in the running of component parties, where some of their party chiefs, in their 70s, put their names on their lists. And they themselves cannot hear the loud voices from the people that they should go. (who else is party chiefs in their 70's???
Shockingly and hypocritically, they talk about bringing in “new blood” and of their “unfinished work”. Of course, it is always for the country and the people. Haven’t we heard that before?

In his previous post, Time To Drop the Jesters

There is no reason why the likes of Port Klang assemblyman Datuk Zakaria Deros, Datuk Bung Moktar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan) and Datuk Mohd Said Yusuf (BN-Jasin) should still be retained.

I will really bersyukur when all these 3 together with Datuk Badruddin Amiruldin (BN-Jerai), Syed Hood Syed Edros (BN-Parit Sulong) and Datuk Mohd Aziz (BN-Sri Gading) DISAPPEAR FROM THE MALAYSIAN POLITICAL SCENARIO!!!

Bloopers I - What's In A Name?

Well... what's in a nmae you may ask? Those who know Chinese definitely will laugh now. The first two word 江门 in Cantonese has the same pronounciation as 肛门 which means asshole. 排 is excrete and 粉 is flour. So in the end it means asshole excreting flour and it's actually MEE-HOON!!!!!!!!

Simplicity Rules - Juno

I admit it. I like quirky little movies which are simple and nice. Throw in a little heart-warming in some quirky little plot and reasonable amount of humour, that works for me. Just like last year's Little Miss Sunshine (you can read my afterview here), Juno is this year's (or rather 2007's) equivalent. And just like LMS, it was also nominated for 4 Oscars. LMS took home original screenplay and supporting actor (Alan Arkin) and lost out in Best Movie and Best Supporting Actress (an adorable performance by Abigail Breslin). Juno was nominated for Best Actress (Ellen Page - she's natural and a joy to watch), Original Screenplay, Best Movie and also Director.
The screenplay was written by Diablo Cody. Some trivial about her? She's a stripper with the blessing of her husband, whom she knew from internet. Lessons learned? You can find love in internet and 行行出状元 (every field has its scholars).

Love Is In The Air

Love the effect of the photo taken above. It's the old style wedding photo. Notice the backdrop and color management. Nice.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAYB
both the Chinese 七夕情人节 and the Western Valentine's Day

I would like to say I do not know the couple in the photo. It's very likely to be from HK which I extracted from some HK blogs I read but forgot which one was it. So, if you are reading this, the couple in the photo above, and wish me take it down, please email me.

No Lie? Right in Front of Our Eyes

It's official. The Parliament was dissolved. Erection (as Zam said) will be soon. Our flip-flop PM announced the Parliament dissolved today despite saying "No, not tomorrow" when asked by reporters yesterday, Feb 12. See... it's a giant flip-flop flipflopping in front of our eyes!!!!

Anita Mui - This Night

This is what I call performance!!!! Miss Anita.

Simplify Your Life

Stumbled upon this little piece of article in the fitness centre where I work out; 18 Ways to Simplify Your Life

1. Think and Write Down What Really Matters to You (Hm....anyone of you do this?)
2. Have Short and Long Term Goals (OK...tis starts to sounds like self-help stuff)
3. Use Online Banking (Yes. I'm that simple)
4. Make Time for Yourself (What if I have too much time for myself?)
5. Carry No More Than 2 Credit Cards (now this is very much financially-related.)

8. Don't D Other People's Work. Give Up The "Hero" Mentality (Never ever a hero)
9. Hire Someone for Chores You're Not Fond Of (this is so unrealistic cox I dun have that much money to do so)
10.Cut Back On Television Time (This contradicts with #4 above)
11.Clean Out Your Office and Home (OK....I got it, it's a mess right?)
12.Stop Spending Time With Whiners (hmm...sometimes it made me feel better knowing others having worse life than me. Am I bad?)
13.Plan Time for Annual Vacations (What if I'm planning but no money and person to ggo vacation with?)
14.Carry A Smaller Wallet/Purse (If I hav high credit limit of my plastic)
15.Live Close To Your Work Place (I win this hands down)
16.Learn To Say No (learning now.....)
17.Cut Back On Children's Planned Activities (dun understand this....)
18.Track Your Expenses (gosh....this made me realise how poor I am)

Look at The Positive Side

I remember someone very dear to me mentioned to me that I should look at things from the bright and positive side. I am doing that now, not only thinking positive but also channelling the positive energy into the right attitude.

Stevie Wonder - Positivity (feat. Aisha Morris)
Some people ask me why always on the bright side
When there's so much going on down the other side
It's like I live in a bubble with no trouble
And problems don't exist
I chuckle and tell them that ain't the case at all
It goes way back to the time when I was very small
Not in mind but size and age my papa use to say
You can always look at the negative
But you should always live in the positive
So I try everyday to live that way
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Some people live in what was and what they could have been
As opposed to living in a what is and how much they can
And be the first to complain about nothing in life going their way
The attitude is "that I can't do nothing 'bout"
And very happy with just breathing in and out
The ones that when you say "lets go make a difference"
They'll say "naw that's OK"
So I don't waste time on the trip side
'Cause I do know the real on the flipside
And I'm crystal clear everyday that's why I say, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
When I see the morningAnd the sun is smiling down upon me
I joy in the blessing
That still the ground is not above me
And for the people
That I can truly say do love me, I feel
Positivity, 'cause that's what life's meant to be
Positivity, 'cause this day did not have to be
Some ask me why I'm such an optimist
When it's more fashionable be a pessimist
From what's in seventy-five percent of what we read, hear and view
Well I use to have a friend named Minnie Riperton
Who use to always say when she was living
"Like fine wine I like seeing the glass of life as half full than half empty"
I'm saying sometimes life can't be rough
But never to the point of me saying I've had enough
Long as my heart beats I ain't giving up
That's why I say everyday
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
When people ask me as an African American
What do I see for tomorrow in the human plan?
Is it possible for all the people of the world to co-exist?
I say unity is only as big as our vision
And if its narrow, try to expand beyond the horizon
But true leaders must guide us through the ills of society
That stands in our way
So if the road is to harmony, be with the call
But if its about discord, don't take the ride at all
'Cause the world vision I see is the one-we for everybody
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
When I see the morning
And the sun is smiling down upon me
Just joy in the blessing
That still the ground is not above me
And for the people
That you can truly say do love you, do feel
Positivity, 'cause that's what life's meant to be
Positivity, and that's the energy the world needs
Positivity, 'cause that's what life means to me
Positivity, 'cause this day did not have to be
Positivity, 'cause that's what life's meant to be
Positivity, 'cause that's the energy the world needs
Positivity, 'cause that's what life's meant to be
Positivity, and this day did not have to be
Positivity, 'cause that's what life means to me
Positivity, and that's the energy the world needs
Positivity, 'cause that's what life's meant to be
Positivity, and that's the energy the world needs

We Have Been Friends Together

We Have Been Friends Together - Caroline Norton
We have been friends together
In sunshine and in shade,
Since first beneath the chestnut trees,
In infancy we played.
But coldness dwells within thy heart,
A cloud is on thy brow;
We have been friends together,
Shall a light word part us now?
We have been gay together;
We have laughed at little jests;
For the fount of hope was gushing
Warm and joyous in our breasts,
But laughter now hath fled thy lip,
And sullen glooms thy brow;
We have been gay together,
Shall a light word part us now?
We have been sad together;
We have wept with bitter tears
O'er the grass-grown graves where slumbered
The hopes of early years.
The voices which are silent there
Would bid thee clear thy brow;
We have been sad together.
Oh, what shall part us now?
Wish you all have an enjoyable reunion gathering U6 La Sallians 1998.
The same goes to you too, B.

Happy + Likable

It's more likable when one is happy. And I want to be both happy and likable.
And no one likes a grumpy old man. Well, though I can avoid grumpy but the old thing is something I can't run away from. What I can do is running away with a smile plastered on my face. Hm...just trying to imagine myself doing that. :)
