25th Apr - 4th Day Siem Reap Part 2 (Angkor Revisited)

The afternoon temple exploration with Roulos temples.

I love this nice temple. The small lake added some air of tranquility.

The 5-tier temple is a nice change from the others in the main Angkor area.

Found in the Preah Ko temple and found an entry with reference to Parameswara. Hmm.... interesting!

After the Roulos excursion, I went back to Angkor and the sky suddenly changed...

A rare sight in Angkor Wat with heavy wind and rain....

Posing happilu in front of Angkor Temple as people flocking out to avoid the heavy rain and wind... Sands flying everywhere...

The locals said it was rare that in the heat of Apr-May weather to have such a windy and rainy hours...

Visitors running out...

Suddenly there was loud banging sound....

A tree was felled down by the strong wind...

The 400-years-old tree next to the popular spot near the left lake in front of the main Angkor temple fell down... Luckily no one was standing near hence no one is hurt...

Me in front of the aftermath...

Another shot of the victim

A squirrel was actually hurt, its leg being smashed. The kids above were showing some act of naivety+cruelty by torturing the injured squirrel, which in their version, playing with it. Luckily a good samaritan in red T-shirt above advised them to set it free.

I continued my exploration inside the Angkor Temple. Interesting apsara with intricate head-set design.

Thanks to Jeffrey who helped to take this shot.

Love this shot though I wished I took it horizontally instead.
The sleeping technique which adopted by Jeffrey as well. Thanks dude!
Taken with Jeffrey from Singapore.

The monks in the main Angkor temple.

Kian Yip with his gf climbing down.

Notice the additional carvings on the wall. Should it be called vandalism or an act of creativity channelling?

The 3 musketeers from Singapore ending the Angkor exploration.

The night market in Siem Reap.

Kenny Rogers the Siem reap style? Mind you it's automatically rolled!

The "siu lap" sold with some exotic items. Notice the brown tongue? Yes, it's lidah khinzir.

The local dessert. Something like the liong fan chap suet.

The local stalls where I treat my stomach for dinner and met a Malaysian couple which coincidentally knows a friend of mine too. John Chung.
